Hello, my name is Daniel Quinn Flint and I spent 7 years cleaning up the collapse of an industry. Here is my story...
Daniel Quinn Flint's Bio:
Daniel Quinn Flint spent seven years of his career cleaning up the fallout from the nationwide collapse of the mortgage industry. The first two years were spent analyzing bad property appraisals and working to remove the associated bad mortgage loans from the portfolio of the secondary market. It is estimated Daniel's investigations and actions resulted in recovery of approximately $200 million from bad loans sold to the secondary market. After successfully aiding in removal of bad loans from the system, Daniel turned his attention to rooting out the industry's bad actors as one of the original members of the AQM team (sometimes called the "stealth fraud team" by some insiders) located in Washington, D.C. This team was set up to fulfill the mandate from (then) Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) to "clean up" the industry after the debilitating national mortgage crisis. Daniel served a dual function on the team as both investigator/ analyst as well as technical support including the construction, maintenance, and security of a database to track all actions taken by the team regarding the discipline and/ or removal of bad actors from the industry. Investigations involved use of Big Data and Fintech technologies at the macro level to identify potential bad actors followed by more traditional statistical sampling and data analysis at the micro level to build cases. Daniel also built a front-end Graphical User Interface (GUI) tied to the tracking database which enabled team analysts to accomplish reviews in a fraction of the previous time. Daniel ultimately used comparative before/after analysis and statistical graphing to prove that he and the AQM team succeeded in measurable improvement of the most problematic bad actors nationwide including complete removal of the worst offenders from the industry.
To summarize, after over seven years of hard work overcoming many unique technical data challenges and numerous other obstacles, Daniel Quinn Flint and a crack team of highly competent professionals removed both the worst offenses and the worst offenders in the process of "cleaning up" a broken industry. Mission accomplished.
